Low carb and keto meals can sometimes be pricey since it’s full of meat and veggies, but providing low cost meals for your family CAN be done! Here is a list of 5 budget-friendly keto meals that you can make this week to provide some good and healthy options for you and your family.
This white chicken chili is loaded in tons of flavor. It has a very rich and creamy texture to it, which makes it very filling. You can add beans to it (it’s hard to call it a chili without the beans) and it will only add an extra 4 carbs per serving to your meal.Â
Total carbs is 4 Carbs per serving
1 Cup of Diced Onion
2 (4 oz) Cans of Green Onion
2 Cloves of Garlic
4 Cups of Chicken Broth
1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 Cups Shredded Cheese
1 Cup Mexican Cheese
1 Tsp. Cumin
1 Tsp. Oregano
1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/8 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
Salsa Chicken is a go-to in the Litke household. It is seriously the EASIEST meal to throw in the crockpot and you can just throw this on a low carb tortilla or shell since they just recently came out with keto taco shells (can I get an amen?). You can also make this into some taco salad meat. Tons of different options and still a very easy meal to throw together.
2 Pounds of Chicken
1 small jar of salsa
1 oz. Taco Seasoning (homemade would work great)
Chicken Crack is another favorite of ours that also goes in the crockpot. This makes great sandwiches and I love to pair this with a salad.Â
2 Pounds Chicken Breasts
1 (8 oz.) Block of Cream Cheese
1 Cup of Bacon Crumbles
1 oz. Ranch Seasoning Mix
1 Cup Shredded Cheese (I like to use cheddar)
This was one of the tastiest chicken legs I have ever bitten into. The flavors were out of this world and oh my stars was it to die for!
10-15 Chicken Legs
1 Lemon for Juice
1 Lemon for topping
1 sliced onion
1/4 Cup Olive Oil
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Tsp. Pepper
2 Tsp. Thyme
1 1/2 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
Nothing more hearty than Crack Chicken Soup! This is filled with chicken, ranch and bacon so I think that’s all I need to say…haha!Â
